Torrent Urja 14 (TU14), a subsidiary of Torrent Power will establish solar projects up to 50 MW to deliver clean energy to ARS Steels & Alloy International (ARS). Torrent Power, ARS, and TU14 have signed the subscription and shareholders’ agreement to supply power by developing solar power projects of up to 50 MWp in Tamil Nadu. This power will be provided through open access from TU14’s project to ARS’s production units. As per the agreement, ARS will also hold an equity stake in TU14.

In April 2024, by quoting Rs 3.65 per kWh, Torrent Power bagged the auction to procure power from 300 MW of wind-solar hybrid projects, with a greenshoe option of up to 150 MW from its own distribution unit, Torrent Power Distribution.
