THDC India Limited has announced the launch of its pilot green hydrogen project in accordance with the National Green Hydrogen Mission at its office complex in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

The project is one of India’s largest green hydrogen projects so far. The project aims to generate 50 kgs of green hydrogen daily, utilising energy input from a 1 MW rooftop solar plant. The green hydrogen produced will be stored in two storage tanks and later employed during nighttime to power a 70-kW proton exchange membrane fuel cell that will illuminate the THDC office complex. The project will be the most significant fuel cell-based electrolyser pilot project in India.
