Bengaluru : Statiq, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network that has been consolidating its position in the North, has made inroads into the South by inaugurating a full-stack charging station at Mangaluru Forum Fiza mall. With 2 charging units, each being a 10.7 kW Type 2 + Smart Plug, Pillar 2.1, anyone can drive into the station and charge their 2-, 3-, and 4-wheelers with ease in the mall’s parking bays. With this move, Statiq proves that charging an EV won’t be a problem anywhere in India.
Co-Founder of Statiq, Akshit Bansal says, “Statiq has always aimed to provide an end-to-end ecosystem for EV chargers and we want to assure everybody whether it’s within their town or city, or on long drives over weekends and holidays, you will always find a Statiq EV charging station nearby. Mangaluru is a future-ready city and, with this charging station, Statiq is lending a hand in expediting this process, in partnership with the forward-looking Forum Fiza mall.”
The mallwas selected to house the charging station, so that city-folks heading out to Maravanthe, Chikmagalur or Coorg can make a pit-stop for charging their EVs before heading on to their vacations.
With a recent setup 60kW Fast Charger setup in Kolar with a view of connecting Bengaluru and Tirupathi and an upcoming setup in Kundapuru with a vision of connecting Mangalore to Gokarna and Karwar. With a set vision of expanding further in Bengaluru. Karnataka will be a southern state which Statiq shall pursue aggressively.
In the last year, Statiq has launched several charging stations to bolster their already substantial network. Each location is handpicked for one singular reason, which is they are located on busy routes and have extremely extensive footfalls. This way, all the stations would benefit that many more people.
