Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has declared its financial results for the financial year 2023-2024. At Rs 4.36 billion, SECI witnessed a 38.14 per cent increase in the profit after tax (PAT) over last year. Meanwhile, the total income increased to Rs 131.358 billion; a 20.91 per cent increase over the previous year. The annual trading volume was 42,935 million units of electricity; a rise of 22.13 per cent. The net worth of the company stands at approximately Rs 28.1 billion.
In August 2024, SECI issued a tender inviting bids for a 2,000 MW ISTS-connected solar projects with storage. In July 2024, SECI had issued a tender for production of green hydrogen facilities. In the same month, they had issued a request for proposals for the establishment of a 7.5 MW solar project in Badi Sid, Rajasthan.
