RGE and TotalEnergies have entered into a co-investment agreement to develop, build, and operate a solar photovoltaic power plant with a battery energy storage system in Riau Province, Indonesia. The two companies have entered into this agreement through their equally owned joint venture, Singa Renewables (Singa). The utility-scale project will be constructed in phases.
Upon completion, the project will provide green energy supply for domestic consumption to power green industrial complexes in Riau Province. It will also provide clean solar energy export to Singapore, enhancing energy cooperation and renewable energy initiatives across the region.
Earlier in March 2025, TotalEnergies and its partners inaugurated the 640 MW Yunlin offshore wind farm in Taiwan. TotalEnergies has 29.46 per cent stake in Yunneng Wind Power Co., Limited, the joint venture overseeing the project. Other stakeholders include Skyborn Renewables with 31.98 per cent, EGCO Group with 26.56 per cent, and Sojitz with 12 per cent.
