Rays Green Energy Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Rays Power Infra, has announced plans to establish a solar module and cell facility in Madhya Pradesh. The facility will feature a 1.5 GW solar cell plant and a 3 GW solar module assembly line, aiming to strengthen the domestic renewable energy industry. The total planned investment for the facility is Rs 14 billion, and it will employ advanced TOPCon technology.
The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a letter of intent for the allotment of 38 acres of land in the Mohasa Babai Industrial Area, Narmadapuram district, designated as a manufacturing zone for power and renewable energy equipment. The manufacturing plant is expected to generate approximately 1,200 direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to skill development and stimulating the economic growth in the region.
In October 2024, Rays Power Infra secured 100 MW at Rs 2.50 per kWh in NTPC’s 1.2 GW ISTS-connected solar auction.
