Nuveen Infrastructure (formerly Glennmont Partners), a clean energy fund manager, and Exus Renewables, an independent renewables asset management and development firm, have agreed to collaborate on the development of approximately 800 MW of battery storage projects in southern Italy, with each company developing a portfolio of approximately 400 MW of projects.

With this agreement, Nuveen Infrastructure and Exus will start implementing standalone battery energy storage system projects throughout the Italian area of Puglia. These will make up four projects, each with a capacity of about 100 MW, for Nuveen Infrastructure and Exus. All projects will be developed by an Italian developer who specialises in battery storage systems. The first projects in the portfolio are scheduled to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2026.

SK D&D signed a MoU with Nuveen Infrastructure (formerly Glennmont Partners) to invest in solar PV projects in South Korea. The two companies will invest around $153 million in the projects under the terms of the MoU. In addition, SK D&D will be in charge of sourcing, project management, and operation of the solar facilities, while Nuveen Infrastructure (formerly Glennmont Partners) will be responsible for debt financing and selling the projects to end users. Furthermore, SK D&D aims to enter the electricity trading business and leverage data from assets acquired through potential co-investments.
