NTPC Announces Winners of 1.58 GW DCR Solar Modules Auction

Results for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s (NTPC REL) auction for provisioning of crystalline solar bifacial modules of capacity 1.58 GW, including atleast 540 Wp wattage output for 1,255 MW projects have been announced. The projects will be located at Khavda solar park in the Kutch district of Gujarat. The tender for the project was issued in September 2023. Emmvee secured two blocks, each with a capacity of 397.70 MW, aggregating 795.4 MW. Vikram Solar obtained one block with a capacity of 397.70 MW, while ReNew received the final block of 391.50 MW.

The companies did not reveal the values of their respective quoted contracts. The modules will be provided under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category. The winners are required to supply the modules within 245 days after receiving the award notification. Emmvee will provide its TOPCon bifacial PV modules for the project.
