Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana, which is a unit of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), has commissioned a 1.7 MWp grid-connected solar power plant at its nuclear facility in Haryana.

It is a ground-mounted, grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant spanning 2,000 square meters. The project has been developed with a total capital investment of around Rs 0.08 billion, which consists of a five-year comprehensive operations and maintenance contract. The project is built by utilising domestically manufactured mono passivated emitter and rear cell solar modules. Further, it is expected to produce around 2.53 million units (kWh) of electricity annually.
