Metro Manila Facilities to Be Powered by Renewables in the Philippines

PLDT has partnered with ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES) to switch 33 facilities in Greater Metro Manila to use renewable energy in the Philippines.

The facilities include PLDT’s 24/7 integrated operations centre in Makati City and  Smart Communications across the Philippines. PLDT Group aims to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40 per cent by 2030. In line with this target, PLDT has been venturing into using renewables, green technologies, and various resource optimisation initiatives.
