Malta Inc. and BBVA have signed a MoU to partner on an energy storage project in the Iberian Peninsula.
The collaboration aims at creating innovative financial solutions to support the installation of the project. It will leverage Malta’s advanced energy storage technology and BBVA’s expertise in finance.
Furthermore, the primary objective is to develop a discharge power offtake power purchase agreement that supports the introduction of Malta’s energy storage technology.
The collaboration comes from the Energy Resilience Leadership Group, which focuses on enhancing Europe’s energy resilience.
