Lhyfe has inked a five-year deal with H2 MOBILITY Deutschland to supply green hydrogen for the transport sector. Initial deliveries will serve four H2 MOBILITY fuel stations in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, starting with Ludwigshafen and Frankenthal.
Furthermore, the hydrogen will be generated from renewable power sources, qualifying as Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO). The hydrogen will be sourced from Lhyfe’s planned production site in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
Earlier in August, Lhyfe partnered with OX2 and Velarion to develop a hydrogen-powered industrial cluster in Ånge municipality, Sweden. The projec will combine wind energy with large-scale green hydrogen production to generate carbon-neutral products. As part of this initiative, OX2 is developing a wind farm in Marktjärn, Torpshammar, expected to produce 1.4 TWh annually.
In March 2024, Lhyfe received a grant of up to €149 million from the French Government to develop a green hydrogen plant with a 100 MW electrolysis capacity near Le Havre. It also inked a joint agreement with Source Galileo to launch commercial-scale green hydrogen production units in the UK and Ireland.
