Juniper Green Energy Limited, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Cosmic Private Limited, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited. The agreement covers Juniper Green Energy’s upcoming 250 MW firm and despatchable renewable energy project located in Haryana.
The 250 MW hybrid project will include a combination of solar, wind, and battery energy storage system components. It is reportedly intended to supply power to the Haryana Power Purchase Centre on behalf of the state’s distribution companies, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited. Moreover, the project was awarded through a long-term procurement agreement and is scheduled to begin supplying power from June 2027.
Earlier this month, Juniper Green Energy filed a draft red herring prospectus with SEBI to raise over Rs 30 billion through an initial public offering.
