JinkoSolar has inked a module supply agreement with HuanTai Energy for the Gobustan solar project in Azerbaijan. The 100 MW solar project will adopt JinkoSolar’s N-type TOPCon modules. The modules have technical advantages including higher power output per watt, superior all-weather performance, and greater overall energy yield. They can ensure stable and efficient performance even under extreme conditions.
The solar plant is expected to generate 180 million kWh of electricity annually. It can reduce carbon emissions by 1,46,500 tons annually and contribute to Azerbaijan’s goal of reaching a 30 per cent share of renewables by 2030.
Earlier in October 2024, JinkoSolar inked a supply contract with ACWA Power for approximately 3 GW of photovoltaic modules for the Saudi PIF4 project. The contract includes two sub-projects within the PIF4 cluster: the Haden and Al-Khushaybi solar power stations.
