Grew Energy invests Rs 45 billion to develop 3.2 GW manufacturing plant

Grew Energy Private Limited, the leading venture of the Chiripal Group, is preparing to build a three-stage fully backward-integrated manufacturing plant. The facility will be located in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir.

To be built at an investment of 4.500 billion and covering an area of 80 acres, this facility will have the capacity to produce 3.2 GW of high-efficiency modules and 2.8 GW of ingots, wafers, and cells annually, upon completion. The facility will meet international standards, featuring innovative automated machinery. By setting up Kathua plant alongside its existing 2.8 GW module manufacturing facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Grew will reach a total manufacturing capacity of 6 GW for modules and 2.8 GW for solar components by the 2025.
