Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to drive energy efficiency and clean energy adoption.
Under this partnership, EESL will support DVC in implementing energy efficiency programs, including the street lights national programme, energy-efficient building solutions, and decentralised solar initiatives such as rooftop solar installations, solar carports, and hybrid thermal solar systems.
The collaboration will also promote electric mobility through the deployment of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as smart metering and trigeneration projects for optimised energy utilisation. Additionally, the partnership will focus on demand flexibility solutions for grid stability, clean cooking technologies, and battery energy storage systems, incorporating both short-duration (Lithium Iron Phosphate) and long-duration (Zinc Electrolyte) storage technologies. Procurement processes will be streamlined, and project management and consultancy services will be leveraged to ensure effective implementation.
