BluPine Energy has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd for a 46.87MWp solar project. To be located in Karnataka under the captive structure, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) will possess a minimum 26 per cent equity stake in the special-purpose vehicle of BluPine Energy specifically incorporated for this project. The project will raise BluPine’s commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy capacity to more than 400 MW.
The solar plant is anticipated to produce approximately 93.75 million units of power per year, reducing CO2 emissions by more than 85,000 tonnes annually. This partnership has increased BluPine Energy’s total renewable capacity to 2.4 GW, with the operational capacity of over 725 MW, spread across 27 sites in seven Indian states.
