Amplus Solar has commissioned its groundbreaking 360 MWp inter-state transmission system (ISTS) solar facility, known as Project Jai. Located in the Jaimalsar village in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, the electricity produced by the facility will be distributed among commercial and industrial customers across the country, empowering them to meet their clean energy goals.

The solar plant incorporates the latest solar technologies, including bi-facial modules, single-axis trackers, and fully automated cleaning systems. The utilisation of a robotic cleaning system at project Jai is expected to decrease the plant’s water consumption for panel cleaning by up to 50 million liters annually.

In March 2023, Amplus Solar entered into a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up multiple decentralised green hydrogen production plants in the state. In the same month, Amplus Solar announced an association with EverRenew to set up a 200 MWp open-access solar power plant in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, India.
