AMEA Power and Kyuden International Corporation have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two companies to drive large-scale clean energy projects. The jointly developed projects will support decarbonisation, energy resilience, and inclusive economic growth across key markets.
AMEA Power has over 2,600 MW in operation and a project pipeline exceeding 6 GW across more than 20 countries. Kyuden International Corporation, a subsidiary of Japan’s Kyuden Group. It leverages the Kyuden Group’s technological expertise and experience to operate 25 electric power projects in over 16 countries as well as invest in renewable energy development projects.
Earlier in February 2025, AMEA Power inked an agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company to develop two standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS). These systems will have a combined capacity of 1,500 MWh. As part of this agreement, AMEA Power will construct a 500 MWh station in Benban and a 1,000 MWh station in Zafarana.
