Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has successfully initiated a total solar energy capacity of 1,000 MW at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, solidifying its operational capacity to 9,478 MW. This milestone propels AGEL forward on its path towards the target of 45,000 MW by 2030.

AGEL achieved the delivery of 1,000 MW within a year of initiating operations at Khavda, involving the installation of around 2.4 million solar modules. Covering an expansive 538 square kilometer of barren terrain, the world’s largest renewable energy plant with a capacity of 30 GW is five times the size of Paris. The project is expected to be completed in the next five years and will create over 15,200 green jobs.

AGEL has pledged to utilise waterless cleaning robots across the entire solar capacity, tackling dust accumulation on panels to enhance energy output and promote water conservation in the arid Kutch region.
