Batteries are the energy storage devices of the future! To meet the enormous demand for batteries, production capacities will be established all over the world in the next decade. This will require thousands of skilled workers along the entire battery value chain – a process that will require extensive retraining and upskilling of existing staff and personnel. Fraunhofer Battery Training offers continuing education programs deliver applied knowledge for beginners, specialists and decision makers, offered flexibly through e-learning, live online, in-person or in-house formats.
The European Battery Business Club (EBBC) is a unique lifelong learning program on battery technology that combines cutting-edge knowledge with industry insights delivered through innovative micro learning elements. Additionally, you will be provided with networking possibilities. The EBBC is based on the latest research findings concerning the most cutting edge technologies, and how this drives the battery industry. The latest findings from research and current developments are provided by Various Fraunhofer Institutes and partners.
Learning Objectives:
After the training program, participants will be able to:
▪ Identify major business opportunities and technical challenges through a general overview of the battery value chain.
▪ Apply battery-material-insights, cell-production-knowledge, and recycling and dismantling methods in qualified positions all along the battery value chain.
Learning Content:
The EBBC training program is designed to deepen your understanding of various aspects of battery technology and its market with one year access to all the learning content on our learning platform. Learn whenever and wherever you want!
The training program offers a broad battery knowledge along the whole battery value chain that can be acquired while taking technical, chemical and economical aspects into account. The program offers two introductory modules and three content tracks that focus on key areas along the battery value chain
▪ The participants will start with two introductory modules: ‘Battery Cosmos’ and ‘Battery Data’.
▪ After that, three training tracks focus on areas along the battery value chain: ‘Battery Materials’, ‘Cell Manufacturing’ and ‘Battery Dismantling and Recycling’.
Fraunhofer Certificate:
The online course finishes with a final test. This test is conducted by the independent examination centre of the Fraunhofer Personnel Certification Authority.
Also, the EBBC offers the battery community a platform to network and exchange ideas. Interact and engage with other battery enthusiast, expert and learners!
