Voltalia SA has secured a 132 MW solar power project in the Gabes region of south eastern Tunisia after being selected by the Tunisian government.
The project named Wadi is scheduled to begin construction in 2027 and is expected to be commissioned in 2028. Once operational, the solar plant is expected to generate enough electricity to meet the annual demand of around 200,000 people and help avoid approximately 120,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
