NLC India Begins Operations of 300 MW Solar Project’s First Phase in Rajasthan

NLC India Limited has commissioned a 52.83 MW part capacity of its 300 MW solar power project at Barsingsar, District Bikaner, Rajasthan. This marks the commissioning of the first phase of the project for which the company has received the commissioning certificate from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited.

Furthermore, the project is a part of the central public sector undertaking programme and is anticipated to produce more than 750 MU of clean energy per annum. Moreover, Tata Power will provide engineering, procurement, and construction services for the project.

In July 2025, NLC India Limited announced plans to invest Rs 1.25 trillion by 2030 to expand its total power generation capacity from the current 6.7 GW to 20 GW. Out of the total planned capital expenditure, Rs 650 billion has been allocated for renewable energy and other green initiatives, Rs 450 billion for thermal projects, and Rs 150 billion for mining.
