SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has issued an engineering procurement and construction (EPC) tender for 500 MW solar projects. The projects will be situated near the 220 kV Bikaner-IV substation at Ambaran in Rajasthan.
The scope of work encompasses the design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, testing, transportation, supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also includes the identification and acquisition of feasible land for the project and transferring its ownership or sub-lease in favor of SGEL. The chosen bidders are also responsible for developing the related power evacuation system up to the interconnection point, carrying out civil and electrical works, securing all necessary permits and licenses, and arranging insurance throughout all phases of the project.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 265 million for 250 MW solar projects and Rs 530 million for 500 MW solar power projects. Furthermore, bidders must bid for at least 250 MW. The last date for bid submission is September 12, 2025.
