Hindustan Power has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for a 435 MW DC solar photovoltaic (PV) project. The project will be set up in Uttar Pradesh.
Under the agreement, Hindustan Power will supply clean power for 25 years from the solar project. Furthermore, it has commenced on-ground operations with the inauguration of its office at the site. The project was awarded by UPPCL through a competitive bidding process in April 2025.
Earlier in June 2025, Hindustan Power received a letter of intent from Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited to develop a 120 MWh standalone battery energy storage system.
