Vestas has secured a 900 MW order from RWE for the Nordseecluster B offshore wind project in Germany. The order includes 60 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines. Vestas will manage supply, delivery, commissioning, and servicing under a five-year agreement followed by long-term operational support agreement.

Located approximately 50 km north of Juist in the German North Sea, the Nordseecluster project is divided into two phases, with the 660 MW Nordseecluster A, comprising 44 wind turbines of the same model and the Nordseecluster B wind turbines, which will be installed in 2028, with commercial operations expected to begin in early 2029.

In September 2024, Vestas secured onshore wind order in Japan, a 134 MW project from Invenergy for the Inaniwa Wind Energy Center in Iwate Prefecture, featuring 32 V117-4.2 MW turbines and a 20-year service agreement, with delivery in 2027 and commissioning in early 2028.
