Haryana Awards Contracts for 17,458 Solar Pumps

The Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) has awarded contracts for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 17,458 solar water pumping systems under Component B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) programme. Leading companies, including Shakti Pumps, AVI Appliances, Oswal Pumps, Ethos Power, Rotomag Motors, Ecozen Solutions, and Alpex Solar, secured contracts for over 1,000 pumps each, with Shakti Pumps receiving 3,174, AVI Appliances 2,811, and Oswal Pumps 2,539.

Additionally, 19 other companies received contracts for a combined total of 3,243 solar pumps. Component B of the PM KUSUM programme aims to install two million standalone solar water pumps for farmland irrigation, prioritising small and marginal farmers as well as water user associations, cow shelters, and community-based irrigation systems.
