Hindustan Zinc to Acquire 530 MW Renewable Energy from Serentica

Hindustan Zinc will procure 530 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) power from Serentica Renewables’ projects under a group captive arrangement.

Hindustan Zinc will invest Rs 3.27 billion in Serentica and its affiliates, to acquire a 26 per cent stake. Serentica will develop captive projects across India to provide renewable energy to Hindustan Zinc over the next 25 years, with project commissioning occurring in phases from 2027. This involves two previous power delivery arrangements and has received the approval of Hindustan Zinc’s board of directors.
