Locus Energy and Ingrid have joined forces to enhance Sweden’s energy infrastructure by constructing 13 large-scale battery storage systems across the southern region. This will add 196 MW of flexible capacity to the national grid in SE3 and SE4 price areas.

Furthermore, these systems, expected to be operational within 12 months, will significantly alleviate power shortages in 13 communities. The batteries will stabilise the Nordic grid, aid in integrating renewable energy, and support local grids and industries in managing peak power demands.
