JBIC Inks Green Energy Deal with Three Conglomerates in the Philippines

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three Philippines-based companies to develop clean and green projects.

The three companies comprise Aboitiz Power Corporation, San Miguel Corporation and Metro Pacific Investment Corporation. The move is in line with the Asia Zero Emission Community Japan-Philippines Project Development Platform.  JBIC has been extending green finance and green bonds to decarbonisation-linked projects and initiatives and the three Philippines-based companies are also seeking renewable energy installation projects and liquefied natural gas projects.
