ReneSola, and Avenston, a reputed player in the solar industry in Ukraine, have signed the long-term partnership agreement collaboration in Ukraine and other nearby countries. According to the Partnership, Avenston will market and sell ReneSola’s high quality and high-efficiency solar PV modules in the region exclusively and both the companies also agreed to explore other project development related opportunities in Ukraine at a right time.

ReneSola since its inception in 2005 has supplied more than 20 GW of cumulative SPV module capacity worldwide and has benefitted from a large number of customers ranging from a small rooftop owner in Australia or US to a large solar farm developer in the EU or India. On the other hand, Avenston has its roots in the Ukrainian Solar Industry since 2007 and is one of the most reputed solar companies in the country. Avenston is a member of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine & Energy Club and is actively involved is the promotion of clean energy in the region.

The Ukrainian solar market has grown impressively in the past couple of years. Despite the momentary political hurdles for the investment of large scale of SPV projects and implementation of Pre PPAs, it is good to see such an enthusiasm in the people of Ukraine towards the promotion of clean energy in the country, said Sky Wang, the CEO of ReneSola Yixing.

“We are delighted to have partnered with Avenston for the promotion of our high quality & high-efficiency solar PV modules in the region. Our higher wattage modules will bring down the overall project cost and will add value to the Ukrainian SPV market. We believe that together with Avenston, we will have a good market share in the region,” he added.

Dr. Dmytro Lukomskyi, Founder & CEO of Avenston said that the year 2020 is not an easy one for the solar industry in Ukraine. Retrospective changes in legislation, a Feed-in Tariff decrease, total payments’ delays to green energy manufacturers – Ukraine experiences a crisis of the entire solar power industry.

“During the crisis, strong and experienced companies have every opportunity for a big breakthrough and new achievements. These are the main goals of our cooperation. The synergy of the common efforts and similar business values, the symbiosis of experience, deep technical knowledge, expertise and strength of the ReneSola and Avenston brands will certainly lead to successful and outstanding results,” he said.
