To enhance its market reach in the clean mobility space of the country, Saera Electric Auto Private Limited (SEAPL) inaugurated a new manufacturing unit in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. Equipped with all modernized machines, the new plant of Saera will manufacture electric two-wheelers frames and chassis.
Saera will be investing around Rs 25 crores in phase manner for setting up the new manufacturing unit and the investment will increase as the production capacity of the plant will be enhanced further in the future. Currently, Saera’s Bhiwadi plant has a capacity of manufacturing 7,500 units per month and the production is expected to grow exponentially to 50,000 units per month within a year.
“Our new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Bhiwadi will further escalate our growth and will be a boost towards making safe, clean and green electric two-wheelers available to the masses; thereby, catering to the rising demand for e-mobility,” mentioned Managing Director of Saera Electric Auto Private Limited Nitin Kapoor.
Saera has already deployed 50 skilled professionals to handle operations at its Bhiwadi plant and is set to recruit more people to the tune of 300 as the production grows. With its ambitious roadmap, Saera is targeting to reach 5 lakh units per month from the new plant.
Having started its journey in 2011, SEAPL . With its primary operation of assembling and manufacturing cleaner and greener electric L3 category vehicles (e-rickshaw and e-cart loader) and electric 2W low-speed vehicles, Saera has emerged as one of the leading players in the industry.
SEAPL was the first company to introduce e-rickshaw in India with its brand Mayuri, the first one to receive vehicle approval certificate ICAT from the International Center for Automobile Technology, Manesar. The company also manufactures popular low-speed e-scooters with the brand Yogo Bikes. All the electric vehicles manufactured by SEAPL are designed and assembled using cutting-edge technologies and advanced industry standards.
