Reportedly, THDC India Limited has signed an agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the supply of 184.08 MW of clean power from its 1,000 MW pumped storage project (PSP) at Tehri, Uttarakhand.
The agreement is aimed at supporting Gujarat’s peak power requirements and facilitating the large-scale integration of renewable energy into the grid. The Tehri PSP is India’s first variable speed pumped storage plant and features four units of 250 MW each. The first unit recently commenced commercial operations.
