TCL Solar and Grid Africa have entered into a partnership to deploy distributed renewable energy solutions in Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The collaboration aims to tap into emerging solar photovoltaic and battery storage technologies to strengthen regional energy security and drive economic growth. Grid Africa, a pan-African distributed energy developer, is focused on supplying reliable power to critical infrastructure segments including data centres, telecom networks, and commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers across the continent. The company’s mission is to deliver scalable, sustainable energy projects that support the region’s development goals. As part of the partnership, TCL Solar has committed to supporting the deployment of 100 MW of distributed solar and storage capacity across the two countries. The initiative will involve coordinated efforts in supply chain management and project execution to enable timely and efficient implementation.
