Nextracker today announced it has secured a repeat order from Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (SWRE), one of the leading global pure-play, end-to-end renewable EPC solutions providers based in India.
Nextracker will supply its NX Horizon solar trackers for phase two (1.5 GW DC) and phase three (375 MW DC) solar projects at NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd’s solar park in Khavda, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.
Nextracker’s NX Horizon smart solar trackers can be paired with bifacial PV module technology. Selected for their reliability in the field, performance results, and speed and ease of installation for a variety of solar terrain and challenging site conditions, these trackers are said to be the most widely deployed in the industry.
With the addition of this order in India, Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy and Nextracker have surpassed over 5 GW of collaborative solar power generation projects in seven countries globally.
Nextracker founder and CEO, Dan Shugar, said, “What is so amazing about our relationship with Sterling & Wilson is the incredible geographic diversity where we have collaborated to build high-performing solar plants for independent power producers. These results are based on trust, hard work and our ability to execute effectively. Achieving over 5 GW together in seven countries is testament to the strength of our collaboration and a shared commitment to accelerating the world’s transition to clean energy.”
SWRE is an EPC specialist for utility-scale solar, floating solar and hybrid & energy storage solutions with a total portfolio of over 17.5 GWp. It was ranked as the number one EPC solutions provider in India by Wood MacKenzie (2020).
“Nextracker’s technology delivers consistent quality, ease of installation, and reliability. With a shared mission to fast-track clean energy for the planet, we look forward to continued collaboration to deliver the highest-performing, cost-efficient, and timely solutions to plant operator-owners across the globe,” said Amit Jain, global CEO of Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Group.
