SJVN Issues Tender for Solar Project Transmission Lines

SJVN Green Energy Limited has issued tender to construct 132 kV transmission lines, along with bays, for its 125 MW Jamui Phase-I solar project and 75 MW Banka solar project in Bihar.

The tasks encompassed include conducting a comprehensive route alignment survey, detailed survey, check survey, soil investigation, optimisation of the route, preparation of a comprehensive bill of quantities, obtaining forest clearance if necessary, designing, engineering, supplying materials, transportation, insurance, erection, testing, commissioning, and the complete handling of the 132 kV/33 kV transmission lines on a turnkey basis. The bid submission deadline is March 6, 2024.

To be eligible, prospective bidders must have served as an engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for a single transmission line with a voltage class of 132 kV or higher, covering a minimum route length of 20 km, within the past seven years. Additionally, bidders must have experience in supplying, installing, and commissioning a minimum of one circuit breaker bay with air-insulated switchgear at a voltage level of 132 kV or higher within the last seven years. Furthermore, the project must be completed within nine months.

Recently, in February 2024, results were announced for SJVN’s auction to develop 1,500 MW of inter-state transmission system connected solar power projects anywhere in India. By quoting Rs 2.52 per kWh, Solarcraft Power India 8 (Blupine Energy) and GRT Jewellers have won 300 MW and 150 MW, respectively. While Furies Solren (Mahindra & Mahindra) and JSW Neo Energy have won 300 MW and 700 MW, respectively, by quoting Rs 2.53 per kWh. While, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited won 50 MW at a rate of Rs 2.54 per kWh.
