SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has issued a tender inviting bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of solar photovoltaic power projects with a capacity of up to 200 MW anywhere in Gujarat under GUVNL Phase XXII. The last date for bid submission is November 5, 2024.
According to the tender guidelines, bidders have to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 69 million for 50 MW projects, Rs 138 million for 100 MW projects, Rs 207 million for 150 MW projects, and Rs 276 million for 200 MW projects.
Bidders must have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or higher voltage, including equipment such as circuit breakers and power transformers of 33 kV or higher voltage, either as a developer or EPC contractor. The substation must have been operational for at least six months before the tender was issued.
Bidders are also required to have an annual average turnover of Rs 20.7 million per MW over the past three financial years. The scope of work also includes comprehensive operation and maintenance of the solar project for a period of three years.
In September 2024, SJVN floated a tender for the installation of 5.8 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power systems. The projects will be installed on union government buildings in several states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. In the same month, SJVN signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IREDA and GMR Energy Limited for the establishment of a 900 MW Upper Karnali hydro-electric project in Nepal.
