SJVN Limited has commenced operations at its 100 MW Raghanesda Solar Power Station situated in the Banaskatha district of Gujarat. Anticipated to produce 252 million units of energy in the inaugural year, the cumulative energy generation over a span of 25 years is projected to reach 5,805 million units. Through a long-term power purchase agreement finalised in January 2022, the electricity produced by the Raghanesda solar power station will be delivered to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for a period of 25 years.

SJVN secured the solar power station at a rate of Rs 2.64 per kWh through a competitive bidding process led by GUVNL. The construction and development of the project amounts to Rs 6.42 billion. Furthermore, it secured the financing for the project from Japan Bank for International Cooperation under Global action for Reconciling Economic growth and Environmental preservation program.

Recently, in February 2024, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) entered into a power usage agreement with Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL) to deliver 300 MW of solar power to JKPCL from its 1 GW photovoltaic project currently under construction in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan.

In the same month, SGEL issued a tender to produce and supply solar modules of DC capacity of 1,960 MWp, for solar projects throughout India.
