New Delhi : Sharika Enterprises Limited has secured a landmark SCADA automation contract from QMeasure Technologies for the Hosapete (Danapur) unit of BMM Ispat Limited, Karnataka. BMM Ispat, a company worth ₹2,000 crore, is known for its market orientation and judicious use of technology to increase process efficiency and value addition.
Guided by a vision of achieving self-sufficiency and sustainability, BMM Ispat boasts captive power plants with a total capacity of 235 MW equipped with cutting-edge technologies like Waste Heat Recovery Boilers, Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Boilers (AFBC), and Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers (CFBC).
In addition to cementing its power distribution and energy management infrastructure, BMM Ispat is now replacing its 400kV substation equipment with SPIN Tech’s state-of-the-art Lean Automation™ SCADA solution. Sharika Enterprises will execute the project, which involves replacing aging generation IEC 61850-based Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) and Bay Controllers with an advanced self-configuring SCADA system. The upgrade will boost real-time monitoring and control of power infrastructure and enhance both reliability and productivity.
