The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced the results of its first-ever auction under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) programme (Mode-2A, Tranche-I) for the production and supply of green ammonia. The auction was conducted for a total quantity of 75,000 metric tonnes (MT) per annum to be supplied to Paradeep Phosphates Limited in Odisha.
The discovered tariff in this auction was Rs 55.75 per kg, secured by ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited. ACME Cleantech Solutions will supply the contracted quantity at this tariff for a period of 10 years.
This auction is the first in a series of 13 planned tenders, collectively targeting a procurement capacity of 724,000 MT per year, with Rs 15.3 billion allocated for incentives over a three year period. SECI is acting as the intermediary procurer under the scheme, with policy direction from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and coordination support from the Department of Fertilisers.
