Sabanci Renewables has acquired the Lucky 7 Solar project from OCI Energy. Lucky 7 Solar is a 100 MWac/130 MWdc solar project located in Hopkins County, Texas, within the ERCOT-North market. The project spans about 745 acres and will supply electricity to the grid to support rising demand in the region. It is expected to begin commercial operations in 2027.

The project was developed by OCI Energy before the transaction. Following the sale, Sabanci Renewables will take charge of construction and operations. Additionally, legal advisory for the transaction was provided by Sidley Austin LLP to OCI Energy and by Troutman Pepper Locke LLP to Sabanci Renewables. Moreover, both companies have agreed to explore further opportunities together for project development in the future.
