Gruner Renewable Energy, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, has appointed Mr. Rajesh Gupta as its new Executive Vice President (Engineering, Quality Control & Commissioning). With over 37 years of rich and diverse experience in the Oil & Gas industry, Mr. Gupta brings unparalleled expertise and leadership to the organization.

A distinguished alumnus of NIT Surat (B.E. in Civil Engineering) and the University of Roorkee (M.E. in Transportation Engineering), Mr. Gupta has built a formidable career, particularly in the design, execution, and maintenance of Oil & Gas infrastructure. He began his professional journey with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Pipelines Division), where he rose to the position of Executive Director (Constructions). During his remarkable tenure, he successfully led projects across western, eastern, northern, and central India, including cross-country underground petroleum pipelines, petroleum oil depots, LPG underground storage facilities, and crude oil import terminals.

After retiring from active service, Mr. Gupta transitioned to consultancy roles, specializing in the design and execution of civil and infrastructure projects. In September 2023, he joined Gruner Renewable Energy, leveraging his extensive experience to enhance the company’s engineering services and project delivery capabilities.

In his current role, Mr. Gupta is responsible for the engineering, quality control, commissioning, and timely handover of projects. He is committed to fostering a culture of quality assurance and operational excellence while aligning with Gruner Renewable Energy’s vision of advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Speaking on the appointment, Mr Utkarsh Gupta, Founder and CEO, GRE , “We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Rajesh Gupta to our leadership team. With over 37 years of expertise in engineering, quality control, and commissioning, his extensive experience in designing and executing large-scale infrastructure projects will be instrumental in advancing our renewable energy initiatives. We are confident that his strategic vision and commitment to operational excellence will propel Gruner Renewable Energy to new heights, ensuring the successful delivery of our projects and reinforcing our position as a leader in sustainable energy solutions.”

Mr. Rajesh Gupta’s appointment reaffirms Gruner Renewable Energy’s commitment to excellence and innovation, further solidifying the company’s leadership in renewable energy initiatives.

The company recently secured contracts for 11 compressed biogas plants, each valued at an average of ₹100 crores. These projects are expected to produce an average of 88,000 tons of compressed biogas (CBG) annually.

This ambitious vision is also poised to create significant employment opportunities within the biofuel industry. Gruner Renewable Energy plans to expand its workforce from the current 1,200 employees to over 5,000, including on-site workers, by the end of the financial year 2024-2025.
