NVVN floats tender for 10 MW solar project for defence PSUs

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) has recently initiated a bidding process for developing around 10 MW of solar capacity across multiple sites in the Western Region. This solar project aims to meet the renewable energy needs of public sector undertakings (PSUs) under the Department of Defence Production.

The project scope involves installing rooftop and ground-mounted solar photovoltaic systems on buildings of the defence PSUs. It has around 2.5 MW earmarked for rooftop solar and 7.5 MW for ground installations. The selected contractor will conduct assessments of building rooftops, design and engineer the systems, and oversee operations for 10 years.

NVVN is seeking bids through a two-envelope online process comprising technical and financial proposals. Interested contractors can submit bids by February 1, 2024 which will be opened on February 2, 2024. A security deposit of Rs 10 million is mandated for bidders.
