Nordex Group has secured orders for a total of 74 N163 turbines, amounting to 500 MW of capacity, from Canada. These orders include a premium service agreement, ensuring turbine maintenance for a period between 15 and 30 years.
The turbines will be delivered between 2025 and 2026 and will feature the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System to ensure reliable operation during harsh winter months. These features, which have been successfully implemented in Northern Europe, are expected to enhance turbine performance during winter. To date, the Nordex Group has sold close to 1.2 GW of turbines across Canada.
Earlier this year, Nordex Group was chosen by UAB Renerga, a Lithuanian wind energy project developer, to provide 40 N163/6.X turbines for the 264 MW Pagegiai wind farm in western Lithuania. The contract also includes a Premium Service agreement to ensure ongoing maintenance and support for the turbines.
