Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) has issued a request for proposal to select renewable energy power generators for setting up a cumulative capacity of 1,500 MW solar projects in Madhya Pradesh under Component C of PM-KUSUM programme. The power generated from these projects will be sold to MP Power Management Company Limited. Component C of the PM-KUSUM programme aims to help farmers solarise their agricultural pumps, ensuring a sustainable and cost-effective energy supply. The deadline for bid submission is March 31, 2025.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit a money deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW. Additionally, bidders must pay a tender processing fee of Rs 5,000 per MW along with 18 per cent GST. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also involves the construction of the bay and related switchgear at the substation. Successful bidders must provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 25 years.
Bidders can participate in the project under either self-development or developer mode. In the self-development mode, individual farmers, groups of farmers, cooperatives, panchayats, farmer producer organisations, water user associations, and government agricultural institutes are eligible to apply. Meanwhile, in the developer mode, participation is open to corporate bodies, bidding consortiums, or joint ventures. According to the eligibility criteria, bidders in the self-development category must own the land where the solar projects will be set up, while those in the developer mode must have a net worth of Rs 10 million per MW.
