Mumbai – Magenta Mobility announce the launch of its operations in the pink city Jaipur, Rajasthan. Under this initiative, Magenta plans to deploy 200 EVs in Jaipur during the initial phase, with the goal to scale this number to 300 EVs by December 2024, driving the city’s transition to sustainable transport. This expansion aligns with Magenta’s mission to decarbonize India’s logistics industry.
Jaipur is becoming a key player in India’s EV logistics market, driven by a growing demand for electric fleets. Its strategic location and emphasis on sustainable transportation make it an attractive hub for logistics companies. As businesses in e-commerce, FMCG, and pharmaceuticals increasingly prioritize eco-friendly delivery, the city is experiencing a notable shift toward EV adoption, making it an ideal location for Magenta’s deployment of electric vehicles.
This launch was done in the presence of JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation’s (JITO JIIF) leadership from Jaipur. This expansion will include establishing a new hub-and-spoke depot in Jaipur, equipped with capacity for 100 electric vehicle (EV) parking spaces and powered by in-house developed 3.3 kw Penta chargers. Magenta also plans to hire over 200 local Delivery Executives (DEs) to support its operations. Through partnerships with clients such as Shadowfax, Dmart, Porter, Garage, and Flipkart, the company will ensure efficient and sustainable mid- and last-mile delivery services throughout Jaipur.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Maxson Lewis, Founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility, said, “Our entry into Jaipur represents a pivotal moment in our journey to transform urban logistics through electric mobility. The vibrant culture and growing economy of Jaipur present an ideal backdrop for our EV fleet initiative. By integrating electric vehicles into the city’s logistics framework, we aim to contribute to Jaipur’s sustainable development. Jaipur will be a key city for Magenta in achieving its growth target of ‘Ab Ki Baar Dus Hazar”.
With over 2500 EVs currently operating across 18 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. Magenta is leading the way in building India’s safest and smartest electric mobility ecosystem. The company as on today facilitates more than 1 lakh deliveries per day, offsetting 905 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
By leveraging advanced technology and fostering local partnerships, Magenta aims to set a benchmark for sustainable logistics solutions throughout the country.
