K2 Systems is shifting production for two of its solar attachments, including a new solar mount, to the United States to comply with domestic content requirements under the Inflation Reduction Act.
The first product is the CrossRail System, a rail-based racking designed to work on various roof types, including composition shingle, tile and metal, and comes preassembled with universal bonding clamps.
The second is the MiniRail Comp System, a new solar racking solution specifically designed for composition shingle roofs. MiniRail is a solar mount 5 in. in size with a partial rail that installs over the shingle, including on roof decking, with four self-tapping screws and built-in flashing. It can attach at different points along the module frame, working with both portrait and landscape panel orientations.
“K2 Systems remains committed to expanding its product line to support the solar industry’s transition to increased domestic production. Our goal is to ensure customers can maximize their eligibility for tax credits and bonuses while fostering American manufacturing growth. You can be confident that more K2 Systems products are being transitioned to U.S. manufacturing to meet these standards,” the company stated in a press release.
