JSW Renew Thirty Seven Limited, a step down subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a battery energy storage purchase agreement (BESPA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited for developing a standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project.
The project will have a total capacity of 250 MW/500 MWh and is located in Rajasthan. The project will be developed under a build-own-operate model and will be supported through viability gap funding. Moreover, the BESPA has been signed for a period of 12 years at a tariff of Rs 224,000 per MW per month.
