Jakson Green has bagged a flue gas CO2 to 4G ethanol project from NTPC Limited. The project is for a power plant located in Lara, Chhattisgarh. The project, conceptualised and designed by NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance, is anticipated to be operational within two years.

Jakson Green has been appointed as the partner responsible for licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction for the project. Utilising a 7.5 MW electrolyser, the plant will manufacture 25 metric tons per day (MTPD) of 4G ethanol from flue gases and produce 3 TPD of green hydrogen. The project will employ advanced technology to capture 25 TPD of CO2 from flue gases, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Using advanced microbial fermentation technology, the captured CO2 and generated hydrogen are integrated to produce 4G ethanol.
