Indus Towers Limited and NTPC Green Energy Limited have signed MoU to collaboratively develop clean energy projects to supply power for its business operations across the nation. Indus Towers and NGEL will consider jointly developing grid-connected renewable energy projects, such as solar, wind, and energy storage, along with related solutions, as part of the MoU.
In April 2024, results were announced for NTPC Limited’s auction to develop 1,000 MW of inter-state transmission system connected wind-solar hybrid power projects, tranche V. The projects will be located anywhere in India. Sprng Energy and AmpIn Energy Transition, and Juniper Green Energy have won 150 MW each, by quoting Rs 3.41 per kWh, Rs 3.42 per kWh, and Rs 3.43 per kWh, respectively. While ReNew and Avaada Energy have won 300 MW and 250 MW by quoting Rs 3.44 per kWh and Rs 3.47 per kWh, respectively.
In the same month, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued a request for proposals for balance of system package for a 500 MW state transmission utility linked solar project in Bhadla, Rajasthan.
